Froid/Lake Girls Down Brockton
The Froid/Medicine Lake girls’ basketball team knocked off Brockton by a 48-34 margin on Saturday, Dec. 18.
The Red Hawks led 16-7 at the end of the first quarter. Baylee Davidson scored six points for Froid/Lake in the period.
Froid/Lake increased its advantage to 24-12 during the second quarter.
The Red Hawks accounted for 16 points in the third quarter for a 40-18 lead. Froid/Lake tallied the first five points of the half including three by Mara Salvevold.
Davidson led the Red Hawks with 18 points. Dasani Nesbit finished with nine points and Salvevold added seven points.
Also scoring were Carolyne Christoffersen with four, Brooklyn Nordwick with three, Missouri Kabal with three, Meg Ator with two and Jaeleigh Davidson with two.
Leaders in rebounds were Nesbit with 11, Nordwick with eight and B. Davidson with seven. Nesbit had three steals.
Tamryn Bauer scored 13 points to lead Brockton.
Also scoring for the Warriors were Ava Lone Bear with six, Ziktcana Roberts with four, Courtney Spotted Wolf with four, KayJay First That Walks with two, Jasalyn Lambert with four and Lucy Hart with one.
