Seats Opening On RMC Board
The Culbertson Froid, Bainville Health Care Corporation, locally known as Roosevelt Medical Center, will have two governing board seats available for community members to fill in 2022.
The RMC board of directors is made up of five elected tax-district trustees serving three-year terms each on an alternating basis. Up to six appointed directors serve oneyear terms.
Hospital tax-district trustees appoint the directors for one-year terms that are concurrent with RMC’s fiscal year, which runs from May 1, through April 30. The appointed directors can be from the larger service area.
One seat is being vacated by Grant Salvevold. Incumbent Ken Forbregd intends to file for the other seat. Both seats are three-year terms.
Trustees must be 18-years old and be registered voters within the Culbertson, Froid or Bainville school districts to serve on the board.
Board members meet monthly except for August and December and are responsible for decisions related to governance, fiduciary and quality oversight.
“Board members serve as the top of our leadership. They are community members with skills and professional backgrounds that can provide insight and advice on organizational strategy and decisions. They are responsible for looking at ways to secure the future of the facility while representing the organization in the community,” said Audrey Stromberg, administrator.
If anyone is interested in serving a shorter, one-year term, contact Audrey Stromberg at 406-787-6401.
Deadline to file is Feb. 7. The filing forms are available at RMC and at the Roosevelt County Clerk and Recorder’s Office. They can also be requested via email by contacting 406-653-6250 or by going online to sos.mt.gov.
