Wolves Defeat Sidney Eagles

Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball squad took control in the middle two quarters and defeated Sidney, 66-45, on the road on Tuesday, Dec. 21.

Ahead by only a 16-14 margin after the first quarter of play and 19-17 early in the second period, the Wolves earned a 26-17 lead on a three-pointer by Corey Martell, a 14-footer by Kraven Silk and a 15-footer by Kerby Bauer.

A drive by Silk and a steal and drive by Juliun Benson increased the gap to 11 points.

A three-pointer by Gaige Bushman and four straight points by Benson put the Wolves up by a 36-22 at the half.

A three-pointer by Jaxson Azure opened the third quarter.

Wolf Point took control with a five straight points by Benson, a 16-footer by Silk and two free throws by Jack Sprague. Three points by Martell increased the margin to 51-31.

The Wolves ended the third quarter on a high note when a drive by Silk and four points by Benson put the score at 57-34.
