Jodi Albus, Ella Anderson, Tally and Tenley Berwick and Payton La- batte received a citizenship award. Jodi Albus, Ella Anderson, Hailey Berwick, Tally and Tenley Berwick, Emma Berwick, Jaylynn Bjorge, Kaden and Kalia Featherston, Pay- ton Labatte, and Bella and Nash Petersen received a special award in achievement. Hailey Berwick, Tally Berwick, Kaden Featherston and Payton Labatte each received a leadership award. The Frontier 4-H Club members were involved in Cloverbuds, vet. science, beef sheep, and swine. Tiara Whitmus received a leadership Award.

Angela Miller and the Roosevelt County Fair received awards from the Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs during their convention in Billings Nov. 11. The fair was also selected for awards at the upcoming International Association of Fairs and Expos convention in San Antonio, Texas, Nov. 29-Dec. 1.
The Culbertson Women’s and the Lions Clubs hosted a Breakfast with Santa Fundraiser Saturday, Dec. 4, at Culbertson High School cafeteria. The event marked a return to form following a missed year during the ongoing pandemic.
Organizer Amber Fox told the Community News that the Dec. 4 vendor showcase at the Culbertson Armory saw lighter traffic than two years ago. The event was not held last year due to the pandemic.
The Roosevelt County Commissioners have agreed to participate in an opioid settlement arrangement with the state during their meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 14. The settlement calls for distributors McKesson, Cardinal Health and Amerisource-Bergen to pay up to $21 billion over 18 years and parent company Janssen to pay up to $5 billion over no more than nine years for a total of $26 billion.
Bainville Town Clerk Nikki Rogers presented a plaque to outgoing mayor Dennis Portra for service to the Town of Bainville from 2001-2021. She also present council member Ron Butikofer with a certificate of appreciation for service to the town from 20182021.
