Lash Joins Wolf Point Police Department

Wolf Point’s newest city police officer is not a stranger to the area or to law enforcement.

George Lash has been serving as an officer in Wolf Point for the last two months.

“I’m enjoying it,” Lash said. “I like helping the community out.”

He is originally from Lake City, Mich., which is about 45 miles south of Traverse City. He moved to Wolf Point about 10 years ago to work for a BNSF subcontractor.

His work experience since that time included working for the Wolf Point Police Department in 2012 and working for the county jail for two years. His most recent job was with FedEx.

“I would really like to serve the community the best that I can,” Lash said.

After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy for fire control management in the advanced weapons system on ships. He resided in San Diego, Calif., and then took part in a world tour with the USS Enterprise Battle Group.

He is married to Brittney. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, trapping and motorcycle riding.
