Fairview Man Died From Two-Vehicle Crash
Allen Ray Emly, 60, of Fairview received fatal injuries from a two-vehicle accident on Friday, Jan. 14, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at around noon about six miles north of Cartwright, N.D.
A 2014 Volvo truck tractor, driven by Emly, struck a 2001 Freightliner truck tractor driven by a Shawn Mitchell Flowers of Washington, Kan. The Volvo failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the left side of the Freightliner.
The Freightliner was towing a tanker and traveling west on McKenzie County Road 16.
Emly, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was taken to Sidney Health Center where he died on the result of injuries.
