Bulldogs Come Up Short To Plentywood

The Bainville Bulldogs were defeated by a 62-49 final against Plentywood in boys’ basketball action on Thursday, Jan. 27.

Plentywood led 18-9 after the first quarter as Reese Wirtz scored 12 of the squad’s points.

The Wildcats held a 36-24 half-time advantage. Scoring for Bainville in the period were Jesse Strickland with nine and Ayden Knudsen with six points.

Plentywood led 48-36 at the end of the third quarter.

Leading Bainville’s attack was Strickland with 22 points. Braeden Romo added 10 points.

Also scoring were Knudsen with eight, Chuck Butikofer with seven and Sam Butikofer with two.

Wirtz accounted for 25 of Plentywood’s points. Noah Murray scored 13 and Cayden Trupe added 11 points.
