Lustre Holds Off Bainville Boys, 57-47

Lustre Christian outscored Bainville, 57-47, during non-conference boys’ basketball action on Friday, Jan. 28.

After Bainville led by a 13-9 margin at the end of the first quarter, Lustre gained a 30-18 half-time advantage. Lustre’s Kolden Hoversland scored eight points in the second quarter.

The Lions held a 44-34 lead after three quarters of play.

Top scorers for Lustre were Kolden Hoversland with 23 and Cayden Klatt with 12 points.

Also scoring were Braden Ewing with eight, Clay Reddig with six, Kaleb Hoversland with four and Jasiah Hambira with four points.

Ewing and Hambira each grabbed seven rebounds. Kolden Hoversland finished with six rebounds and three assists.

Having three steals each were Klatt, Kaleb Hoversland and Hambira. Klatt each six assists.

Jesse Strickland had a big night for Bainville with 25 points. Braeden Romo added eight points. Also scoring were Ayden Knudsen with six, Chuck Butikofer with five and Sam Butikofer with three.
