Missoula Children’s Theatre Comes To Wolf Point

Wolf Point’s elementary students got the chance to develop their acting skills through the Missoula Children’s Theatre last week.
Nearly 50 students participated in the production of Hansel and Gretel.
The young actors practiced all week and then had their public performance on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolf Point Education Association with support from national, local school and local businesses made the program possible in Wolf Point.
Maggie Connick and Anna Luczynski directed the performance.
“We’re moving quickly, but the kids are having fun,” Connick said prior to Thursday’s rehearsal.
Students practiced from 4:30 to 8:45 p.m. each of the days prior to the performance.
“It definitely got late, and the kids got tired,” Connick said. “It’s great for them to work for a common goal.”
Chinook and Luczynski will lead the program at a different school each week for the rest of the school year. Their next stop is Chinook.
Connick, who grew up on a cattle farm in Alabama, is trying to get used to Montana’s winter weather.
“I keep telling my dad that when it’s 30 degrees, it’s a sunny day,” Connick said. “He laughs.”
