Poplar Boys Knock Off Lame Deer

The Poplar Indians earned a 79-63 home boys’ basketball victory over Lame Deer on Saturday, Jan. 29.

Joe Bear put together an impressive night with 31 points for the Indians.

Also reaching double figures were Dennis Red Eagle with 17, Geordy Medicine Cloud with 15 and Delray Lilley with 11 points.

Rounding out the scoring were Malcom Yellow Hammer with three and Allen

Russell with two points. Leading Lame Deer were Journey Emerson with 16, Kendall Russell with 16 and Moses Sanders with 11 points.

The Indians will host Fairview on Friday, Feb. 4, and travel to Dodson on Saturday, Feb. 5.
