Culbertson Girls Stop Fusion, 62-32

The Culbertson Cowgirls dominated the second half and defeated the Richey/ Lambert Fusion, 62-32, on Saturday, Feb. 5.

Culbertson held a slim 29-26 half-time margin, but the Cowgirls ran off 13 points in the third quarter for a 42-28 lead.

The Cowgirls then outscored Richey/Lambert by a 20-4 margin in the final period.

Megan Granbois finished with 24 points to lead Culbertson’s attack. Also reaching double figures were Makena Hauge with 14 and Destiny Thompson with 10 points.

Rounding out the scoring were Alicyn Ator with six, Perla Burciaga with five and Ayden Ator with three.

Lauren Prevost accounted for 18 of the Fusion’s points. Jaylyn Klempel added six points.

The Cowgirls will travel to Brockton on Friday, Feb. 11, and host Bainvile on Saturday, Feb. 12.
