Red Hawks Defeat Culbertson

The Froid/Lake boys’ basketball team earned a large lead in the first quarter and won at Culbertson by a 60-27 final on Friday, Feb. 4.

The Red Hawks took a 26-6 lead during the first quarter of play. Mason Dethman scored 10 points and Javonne Nesbit added eight points in the quarter.

Froid/Lake increased the margin to 41-8 in the second quarter. Brett Stentoft tallied five points in the period.

Froid/Lake held a 49-17 advantage after the third quarter.

Reaching double figures were Dethman with 18 and Nesbit with 12 points.

Also scoring were B. Stentoft with eight, Landen Kelm with six, Patton Bighorn with four, Austen Hobbs with three, Conner Huft with three, Max Engelke with two, Ashdyn Hobbs with two and Tyler Wivholm with two.

Leading the Cowboys with six points each were Payton Perkins with six, Maurice Bighorn and Shea Scott. Colin Avance had four points. Isaiah Bighorn scored three and Bridger Salvevold had two points.
