Bainville’s Boys Knock Off Cowboys

The Bainville Bulldogs enjoyed a strong second quarter and defeated Culbertson, 53-39, for a road conference win on Saturday, Feb. 12.

After trailing 11-8 at the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs outscored Culbertson 15-4 in the second period for a 23-15 half-time lead.

Bainville held a 35-27 advantage after three quarters of play.

Ayden Knudsen finished with 21 points to lead Bainville. He hit four three-pointers in the victory.

Also reaching double figures were Braeden Romo with 13 and Jesse Strickland with 11 points.

Rounding out the scoring were Samuel Butikofer with six and Charles Butikofer with two points.

Culbertson’s top scorers were Colin Avance with 13 and Payton Perkins with nine points.

Also scoring for the Cowboys were Maurice Bighorn with seven, James Kirkaldie with six, Isaiah Bighorn with three and Bridger Salvevold with one.
