Poplar Drops Double-Overtime Game To Glasgow

Poplar’s boys’ basketball team dropped a 63-57 double- overtime game against Glasgow on Saturday, Feb. 12.

“We had our chances to win in both regulation and overtime,” Poplar Coach Gib Medicine Cloud said.

The Indians were ahead by 11 points at one point of the league contest.

“We were knocking on the door to get a good lead but then didn’t execute,” Medicine Cloud said.

Poplar’s top scorers were Allen Russell with 15, Delray Lilley with 13, Dennis Red Eagle with 11 and Geordy Medicine Cloud with 11 points.

The Indians will face Glasgow in the first round of the district tournament at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, in Glasgow.

Poplar’s girls lost to Glasgow by a 59-17 final on Saturday, Feb. 12.

Poplar’s girls will play Harlem in the first round of the district tournament at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, in Glasgow.
