Bulldogs Fall Short To MonDak’s Girls

Bainville’s girls’ basketball squad fell to MonDak, 58-42, in the quarter-final round of the District 2C tournament on Thursday, Feb. 17.

The Bulldogs trailed by a 12-4 margin at the end of the first quarter and 28-14 at the half.

The Thunder struck for 19 points in the third quarter for a 47-27 cushion.

Bainville’s top scorers were Elsie Wilson with 18 and Kaitlyn Adkins with 14 points.

Rounding out Bainville’s scoring were Tally Berwick with six, Hailey Berwick with two and Brecklyn Pippenger with two points.

Wilson grabbed eight rebounds. H. Berwick had two steals.

Leading the Thunder were Elizabeth Field with 20, Emma Smart with 15 and Sayler Stewart with 11 points.

Stewart finished with 10 rebounds. Field dished out five assists and had six steals.
