Chamber Works On Plans For Events
Directors of the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture discussed future events during their monthly meeting held on Wednesday, March 2.
The chamber is sending in a deposit for a dueling piano program to be held on Nov. 12. The entertainment will be from Colorado and not the same act as last year’s presentation.
Director Jeff Presser said his understanding is that Wolf Point will host the 2023 Eastern C divisional basketball tournament. The tourney will be held in Glasgow in 2024 and in Sidney in 2025.
Officials felt the District 3C basketball tournament went well in Wolf Point. Positive comments were heard regarding the hospitality room.
The 100th celebration committee for the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede is planning to apply for grants. The Wild Horse Stampede will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2023.
Brew Fest is scheduled for June 18. Organizers are still considering different band options.
A Chamber After-Hours event will be held at The Tavern. The plan is for local insurance companies to sponsor the food for people who attend.
Directors approved the chamber paying annual dues to the Wolf Point 100 Club.
A customer service seminar is scheduled on March 29-30 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Great Northern Development Corp. meeting room. Guest speaker is Steve Beck.
