Lions Take Third At Divisional

The Lustre Christian High School boys’ basketball team placed third at the divisional basketball tournament, earning their right to challenge Fairview’s second place on Friday. The teams were never more than four points apart and Lustre lost heartbreakingly by one (39-38). They played four games in three days against Bainville (overtime win 71-57), Scobey (winning 43-37) and again Bainville in consolation play for third and fourth. Lustre won that contest 48-42 in a nail-biter. One Lustre Lion hit an unbelievable 75’ three-pointer at the buzzer of third quarter. The Lions are a team that worked hard with discipline and faithfulness and took their school to compete at this level. Coach Randy Reddig and his entire team represented their school so well. A reception was held for the team at LCHS gym on Tuesday, March 8.
