Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball team suffered a 54-45 semi-final loss against Harlem in the semi-final round of the Northern B divisional tournament in Cut Bank on Friday, March 4.

The Lady Wolves trailed only by a 15-12 margin after the first quarter, but Harlem increased its lead to 31-25 in the second period. Wolf Point led by five points at one point in the opening quarter.

Harlem held a 40-35 advantage after three quarters of play.

The Wildcats scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to hold on for the victory.

J’Elle Garfield led the Lady Wolves with 13 points.

Josie Kolstad and Hamyanie Campbell added seven points each. Jaylee Azure and Sierra Hamilton each finished with six points. Kaylandra St. Marks had two points.

Hamilton grabbed nine rebounds. Azure had seven rebounds and four assists.

Taya Trottier accounted for 29 of Harlem’s points. Chloe Messerly added 10 points.
