Bulldogs Line Up Solid Squad

The Bainville Bulldogs’ track squad features 12 athletes with eight boys and four girls this season.
“I’m excited,” Bainville Coach Chance Hyatt said. “We could always have more, but I’m excited with the ones we have out.”
Among the returning athletes is Samuel Butikofer who qualified for the divisional meet in the high jump last season.
The boys’ 1600-meter relay team also qualified for the divisional meet. Back are S. Butikofer, Carter Winn, Drae Nelson and Reese Harmon.
Logan Josephson and Maddox Hansen are expected to be Bainville’s top throwers.
Trying to continue Bainville’s tradition of good distance runners are Nelson and Ayden Knudsen. Charles Butikofer should be solid in jumps for the Bulldogs.
“The rest do a lot of running and jumping events,” Hyatt said.
The girls’ squad consists of sophomore Kendra Romo, sophomore Brecklyn Pippenger, freshman Elsie Wilson and freshman Miah Pippenger.
After being a standout in junior high track, Wilson is anticipated to compete in sprints and hurdles for the Bulldogs.
Romo, B. Pippenger and M. Pippenger will lead the Bulldogs in weight events.
“All three will do discus, shot and javelin,” Hyatt said.
Top teams in the district are expected to include Richey/Lambert’s boys, Fairview’s boys, Plentywood’s girls and Savage’s girls.
“Our district is pretty balanced,” Hyatt said. “Each team has some good ones.”
The Bulldogs will open their season in Glasgow on Friday, April 1.
