RMC Welcomes New Medical Director RMC Welcomes New Medical Director

Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson has announced the addition of Dr. William Anderson, MD, to their medical staff team following the recent retirement of Dr. Don Helland.

Helland retired from RMC after 11 years of service to the community.

Dr. Anderson will serve as the medical director and will oversee the medical staff operations while performing medical quality oversight and review of patient charts. He will not be seeing patients.

Currently, RMC is recruiting for a family physician and a second fulltime nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant.

“My goal as the new medical director is to be proud of the quality of medicine practiced at Roosevelt Medical Center. This is only a fun job when you know you are doing the very best you can for patients,” he said.

Dr. Anderson received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks before completing his family practice residency in Kalamazoo, Mich., at Borgess and Bronson Hospital.

After retiring in 2019 from Rosebud Healthcare Center in Forsyth, he realized he missed working.

“I love medicine. I enjoy being able to use science to help people. Medicine gives science an application. It makes science more than just science for the sake of science. It becomes science for the sake of people,” he said.

Currently, Dr. Anderson also serves as the medical director for Rosebud Healthcare Center.
