The Frazer Bearcubs have a good turnout for track this year and are looking forward to a successful season.

The Bearcubs feature 10 athletes including four seniors, five sophomores and one freshman. The high school program includes six boys and four girls.

Frazer coach Cody Larson said the turnout is double the amount of athletes that came out last season. It’s the largest turnout for the Bearcubs in several years.

Leading Frazer’s boys is Blue Fettig who qualified for the divisional meet in the 400 last season.

Other returning Bearcubs include Angel Nelligan, Ty Fourstar, Joseph Beston and Sharika Beston.

The Bearcubs also expect strong seasons from Ryker Ackerman in the 100, long jump and 110-meter hurdles and Ryker Ackerman in throwing events.

“I think we will have Frazer Bearcubs at the state meet in Great Falls this year,” Larson said. “I think the girls especially have a chance to do well.”

Larson feels throwing events and sprints will be solid areas.

“I’m still searching for a few spots. I will like to see a distance runner,” Larson said.

The Bearcubs will open their season at the Glasgow Invitational on Friday, April 1.
