COVID Cases Continue To Decrease In State

 

Roosevelt County had one active COVID case as of Monday, April 4. There have been 72 COVID-related deaths in the county. County health officials encourage all residents aged 5 and up to be vaccinated and those over 16 should consider getting booster doses. Immunizations are by appointment only. There is an adult vaccination clinics scheduled from 3-6 p.m. on April 7 in Wolf Point. There will be a vaccination clinic for children, ages 5-11, from 1-4 p.m. on April 8, in Wolf Point.

Area Statistics

Daniels County had zero active cases as of Monday, April 4. The county has 377 recovered cases and 386 cumulative cases. Nine deaths have occurred due to COVID-19 and/or complications.

Valley County reports eight active cases as of Monday, April 4. The county has 1,659 recovered cases and 1,703 cumulative cases. There have been 36 COVID-related deaths.

In McCone County, there are no active cases as of Monday, April 4. There have been nine COVID-related deaths in the county. There have been 374 recovered cases and 383 cumulative cases.

Phillips County had zero active cases as of Monday, April 4. There have been 1,034 recovered cases and 28 COVID-related deaths.

For Richland County, there was one active case and 2,589 recovered cases as of Monday, April 4. Total COVID-related deaths are 33. There have been 2,623 total cases.

Sheridan County had zero active cases as of Monday, April 4. There have been 682 recovered cases and 11 COVID-related deaths.

Statewide

According to Montana health officials, the state’s total number of known cases now stands at 272,679 since the start of the pandemic. There have been 2,733,928 tests conducted.

Around the state, there are 366 active cases. There are 24 active hospitalizations. By Monday, April 4, a total of 3,249 deaths have been reported statewide. A total of 269,064 people have recovered. A total of 11,839 have been hospitalized.

North Dakota Statistics

Williams County, N.D., had two active cases as of Monday, April 4.

McKenzie County, N.D., had one active case as of Monday, April 4.

Divide County, N.D., had zero cases as of Monday, April 4, bringing the cumulative total to 455. There have been four COVID-related deaths.

Second COVID Booster

The FDA and CDC authorized a second booster shot for certain individuals who may be at higher risk of severe outcomes from COVID-19 disease.

A second COVID-19 booster shot may be administered to the following individuals:

• Individuals aged 12 and older with certain immunocompromising conditions* can receive a Pfizer booster at least four months after receipt of the first booster dose.

• Individuals aged 18 and older with certain immunocompromising conditions* can receive a Moderna booster at least four months after receipt of the first booster dose.

• Individuals 18-49 who are not moderately or severely immunocompromised and received Janssen COVID-19 vaccine for both their primary and booster can receive a second booster using a mRNA COVID-19 vaccine at least four months after receipt of the first Janssen booster dose.

• Individuals 50 years and older can receive either mRNA vaccine at least four months after receipt of a first booster dose of either mRNA vaccine.

*These are people who have undergone solid organ transplantation, or who are living with conditions that are considered to have an equivalent level of immunocompromise.

Vaccine Doses

As of Monday, April 4, 1,424,125 total doses have been administered in Montana. There are 560,332 or 55 percent fully immunized Montanans.

In Roosevelt County, 12,161 total doses have been administered as of Monday, April 4. There are 5,046 fully immunized for 51 percent of the county’s 9,918 eligible for vaccination.

In Valley County, 7,798 total doses have been administered. There are 3,197 fully immunized for 46 percent of the county’s 6,931 eligible for vaccination.

In Daniels County, 1,746 total doses have been administered. There are 709 fully immunized for 45 percent of the county’s 1,559 eligible for vaccination.

In McCone County, 1,113 total doses have been administered. There are 429 fully immunized for 27 percent of the county’s 1,562 eligible for vaccination.

In Richland County, 9,893 total doses have been administered. There are 4,229 fully immunized for 41 percent of the county’s 10,310 eligible for vaccination.

In Phillips County, 4,282 total doses have been administered. There are 1,774 fully immunized for 48 percent of the county’s 3,675 eligible for vaccination.

In Sheridan County, 4,651 total doses have been administered. There are 1,842 fully immunized for 60 percent of the county’s 3,075 eligible for vaccination.
