FPST Offers Performing Arts Camp
Fort Peck Summer Theatre is preparing for their 2022 Performing Arts Camp Aug. 2-11.
“Students at the camp are exposed to a comprehensive theatre experience,” Fort peck Fine Arts Council executive director Jennifer Fewer said. “In addition to performance focused classes, the professional instructors teach everything from playwriting to technical design. It provides a balance between creative thinking, education and most importantly teamwork through the arts,” said Fewer.
Fewer explained that health and safety protocols will be in place. “As always, the safety and health of each camper and staff will be a priority,” she said.
Classes are taught by FPST company members, who will be venturing to Fort Peck from all over the county to perform in the summer season, which includes Forever Plaid, The Complete History of America, The Bridges of Madison County, Always… Patsy Cline, Seussical and Wait Until Dark, as well as the touring production of
The Country Mouse and the City Mouse.
Camp culminates in a showcase performance on Thursday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m.
“As in previous years,” said Fewer, “the camp will split time between Glasgow’s Evangelical Church and Fort Peck Theatre, with bus options available for commuting campers.” Scholarship opportunities are also available.
