Golfers Qualify For State Tourney

Three golfers from Roosevelt County qualified for the Class C state meet during the divisional tournament in Sidney.

Bainville’s Alex Strickland placed 12th with an 104 and Braeden Romo earned 16th with a 105 to earn state berths.

Froid/Lake’s Ashdyn Hobbs shot a 108 for 22nd place to qualify for the state tournament.

Medalists of the divisional tournament were MonDak’s Adam Paine with an 86 and Plentywood’s Paityn Curtiss with a 94.

Top boys’ teams were Broadus at 308, Plentywood at 310 and Fairview at 327.

Top girls’ squads were MonDak at 279, Plentywood at 292 and Scobey at 310.

The state tournament is Tuesday, May 17, and Wednesday, May 18, at the Sidney Country Club.
