Valley County Experiences Increase In COVID Cases
Valley County Health Department has received reports confirming 12 positive COVID persons. Symptoms began May 7 through this past weekend, which means that these persons were contagious in the community beginning May 5. Each of these 12 persons have been sick enough to seek medical care.
Roosevelt County had one active COVID cases as of Friday, May 13. There have been 74 COVID-related deaths in the county.
Adult vaccination clinics are scheduled from 3-5 p.m. on May 19 in Wolf Point and on May 26 in Culbertson.
County health officials encourage all residents aged 5 and up to be vaccinated and those over 16 should consider getting booster doses. Immunizations are by appointment only. For questions or to schedule an appointment, call 406-653-6223.
Area Statistics Daniels County had zero active cases as of Friday, May 13. The county has 386 cumulative cases. Valley County reported zero active cases and two newly reported cases as of Friday, May 13. The county has 1,705 cumulative cases.
In McCone County, there are no active cases as of Friday, May 13. There have been 383 cumulative cases.
Phillips County had zero active cases as of Friday, May 13. There have been 1,060 cumulative cases in the county.
For Richland County, there were zero active cases and three newly reported cases as of Friday, May 13. There have been 2,646 cumulative cases.
Sheridan County had zero active cases as of Friday, May 13. There have been 698 cumulative cases in the county.
Statewide According to Montana health officials, the state’s total number of known cases now stands at 275,113 since the start of the pandemic.
Around the state, there are 851 active cases and 719 newly reported cases in the last week.
By Friday, May 13, a total of 3,381 deaths have been reported statewide. A total of 11,952 have been hospitalized.
North Dakota Statistics Williams County, N.D., had nine active cases as of Thursday, May 12.
McKenzie County, N.D., had four active cases as of Thursday, May 12 Divide County, N.D., had zero active cases as of Thursday, May 12.
Vaccine Doses As of Friday, May 13, 1,463,189 total doses have been administered in Montana. There are 563,850 or 55 percent fully immunized Montanans.
In Roosevelt County, 12,543 total doses have been administered as of Friday, May 13. There are 5,146 fully immunized for 52 percent of the county’s 9,918 eligible for vaccination.
In Valley County, 7,999 total doses have been administered. There are 3,223 fully immunized for 47 percent of the county’s 6,931 eligible for vaccination.
In Daniels County, 1,774 total doses have been administered. There are 712 fully immunized for 46 percent of the county’s 1,559 eligible for vaccination.
In McCone County, 1,131 total doses have been administered. There are 431 fully immunized for 28 percent of the county’s 1,562 eligible for vaccination.
In Richland County, 10,080 total doses have been administered. There are 4,269 fully immunized for 41 percent of the county’s 10,310 eligible for vaccination.
In Phillips County, 4,355 total doses have been administered. There are 1,774 fully immunized for 48 percent of the county’s 3,675 eligible for vaccination.
In Sheridan County, 4,764 total doses have been administered. There are 1,846 fully immunized for 60 percent of the county’s 3,075 eligible for vaccination.
