Frontier Days Set For June 10-11
The annual Frontier Days Rodeo in Culbertson is celebrating 59 years.
The main rodeo action starts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10, and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 11. Featured events will include bull riding, bareback, calf roping, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, ladies breakaway, junior barrels, junior breakaway and wild calf race (Friday and Saturday).
The estimated purse for the rodeo is $20,000. Big Circle Rodeo will serve as stock contractor. Slack is set for 9 a.m. Saturday.
The annual parade will take place at noon on Saturday, June 11. The theme this year is “Family, Friends and Fun.” Lineup begins at 11 a.m. at the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds. There is no fee to enter. For more information, contact Wayne Hendrickson at 406-787-6661.
Street dances are planned for Friday at the Stagecoach Bar and Saturday at the Culbertson Saddle Club.
The annual Firemen’s Breakfast fundraiser in Culbertson is set for June 11. The event will take place at the Wild West Diner beginning at 7 a.m. Admission is free. Donations and all proceeds will go to the Culbertson Volunteer Fire Department. A social media post from organizers states that the event will run until 10 a.m.
The Culbertson Women’s Club and the Culbertson Chamber of Commerce are hosting a hamburger and hot dog meal to be serve at 11 a.m. next to the Old Armory.
