Wolf Point Chamber Reports Successful Events
Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce officials said both the Wolf Point Brewfest and Wild Horse Stampede were successful this summer.
Jeff Presser, a director for the Chamber, said attendance was 175 and profit was $3,339 for the Brewfest.
He noted the band was good and that the event will take place again next year.
As far as concession sales for the Stampede, Presser said it was an average year. He appreciates the help from school employees on Thursday and NEMHS on Friday.
Everything went smoothly regarding the rodeo. The chamber board agreed that the purse needs to increase in order to attract more contestants. Improving the bleachers on the east side of the area is a goal.
The Night on the Missouri is scheduled for Sept. 9-10. The DJ will be the same as last year.
Phyllis Sethre, Roosevelt County Fair board member, encouraged the Chamber board directors to attend the fair on Aug. 9-13 in Culbertson.
She noted there will be many activities for children including a water slide, paint ball and cornhole. The fair will feature strolling magic and stage hypnosis by Jeff Martin.
The fair livestock sale begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12. A concert featuring Marshall Catch is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. that night.
