Plans Set For Homecoming Week
A powder puff football games, a disco style dance and a parade are all among the activities planned for Wolf Point’s homecoming celebration.
This year’s theme is “There’s No Place Like Homecoming.” Wall themes are book genres with each class picking a special book.
The homecoming parade will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16. Float themes will be sweet puns as the seniors’ theme is candy. Other class themes are cereal for juniors, ice cream for sophomores and pop for freshmen.
A pep rally or hootenanny is planned for Thursday afternoon. Highlights will include the crowning of the homecoming queen and king. There will be no bonfire this year because of fire restrictions.
The homecoming dance on Saturday from 8-11 p.m. will have a “Saturday Night Fever” theme including disco decorations.
A powder puff football game is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m.
Spirit week will include Jersey Day on Monday, Sept. 12, Decade Day for Tuesday, Sept. 13, When I Grow Up Day on Wednesday, Sept. 14, and Maroon and White Day on Thursday, Sept. 15.
It will be a busy day for Wolf Point’s athletes. Wolf Point’s football squad will host Colstrip at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16. The cross country team travels to Fort Peck for the Glasgow Invitational on Saturady, Sept. 17. Wolf Point’s volleyball squad will have two home matches. The Wolves will face Poplar on Thursday, Sept. 15, and Malta on Saturday, Sept. 17.
