Emily Dela Cruz has gone to Olympia, Wash., to see her sister. She teaches English composition and literature at LCHS. She grew up in Pangasinan, near Bagnio City, the summer capital of the Phillipines and came to Lustre after teaching English in UAE for 12 years. She was at a Bible study when a friend shared a text about a school in Montana that needed a teacher. She applied and is so glad for the position. Her folks were eager for her to take it, as it would bring her closer to her sister in Washington. She appreciates the “Biblical connections to literature almost daily” in classwork.

Also attending the graduation were Bob and Gretchen Schiller, Justin and Nancy. The Walls also attended a softball game of their granddaughter Elizabeth in Ogden, Iowa, and visited Matthew and Katrina, Ellie and Reid Plueger in Dayton, Iowa.
