Wolf Point Chamber Officials Discuss Topics During Meeting
The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture’s board of directors covered a good amount of business during its monthly meeting held on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
Chamber officials discussed measures to improve the plumbing system at the Stampede grounds. They are hoping to have a plumber check out the problems prior in early part of August.
Board member Jeff Presser proposed to have a “plumber on call” for cases of emergencies in the future. The board approved the idea.
Board member Clint Long said he feels a professional should snake the pipes should be conducted prior to each Stampede.
Cherry Colgan of Independence Bank was a visitor and noted the the bank wishes to be active in the community. She was then appointed to the Chamber’s board.
It was reported by Chamber president Jerald Petersen that during a directors’ meeting, directors voted not to accept a resignation from executive director Julie D’Ambrosio. She has moved to Watford City, N.D., but she will continue serving as the chamber’s executive director.
Presser said he feels that the Chamber should conduct a membership drive.
Chamber officials discussed having a Business After Hours event, probably in September. They are open to suggestions as far as location.
