Poplar Runners Fare Well At Harlem Meet
The Poplar Indians prepared for the state cross country meet with a strong performance at the Harlem Invitational on Friday, Oct. 13.
Poplar’s girls came away with third place in the team standings with 31 points. Glasgow topped the field with 13 points and North Toole County placed second with 21 points.
Glasgow’s Tanae Baker was the girls’ individual winner with a time of 19:19.97.
Poplar’s Kacie Colgan and Blake Follette each placed in the top 10. Colgan, a sophomore, finished ninth at 22:51.75. Follette, also a sophomore, finished 10th at 23:12.26.
Mattie Falls Down placed 16th with a time of 23:49.81. Kellyn Azure took 18th at 24:06.24. Cammie Martell was right behind in 19th place at 24:26.75.
Amelia Weeks took 21st place at 24:36.60. Caidryn Archambault was 25th at 25:09.84.
Emilyann Meyers placed 26th at 25:23.41 Alara Parshall finished 27th with a time of 25:42.09.
In the boys’ team standings, Poplar was fifth with 40 points. Harlem was the top squad with 25 points.
Poplar’s Eljin Grey Bear placed 10th with a time of 18:12.08. Wilder Bearcub took 12th place at 18:29.88.
Bostyn Azure was 18th at 19:40.52. Geordy Medicine Cloud took 19th at 19:54.59.
Navarjo Escarcega was 24th at 20:45.0. Raylando Red Eagle was 36th at 21:48.04.
Dane Moran took 41st at 22:13.75. Delray Lilley was 42nd at 22:24.01. Colto Dupree took 59th at 23:38.46.
