Wolf Point Earns Win Over Fairview
The Wolf Point Wolves scored a key conference victory in Fairview on Thursday, Oct. 12.
Wolf Point posted a 25-18, 25-19, 17-25, 25-22, win over the Warriors.
Leading Wolf Point’s attack were Sierra Hamilton with 15 kills and Gabrielle Fourbear with 11 kills.
Kylie Rodenberg finished with 31 assists. Having three blocks each were Kaleah Miller-Toves and Joli Beston.
“Fairview has a tough front row, but we got by them offensively with our hitting, and defensively with our blocks,” Wolf Point Coach Karli McGowan said.
Azalei Ackerman finished with 52 digs and four aces.
“Az had a great game. She was getting everything in the back row,” McGowan said.
After winning the third set, Fairview jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the fourth set. Wolf Point tied the score at 15-15. Kills by Fourbear and Beston put the Wolves ahead by a 1917 margin. The Wolves gained a 24-19 advantage on a kill by Hamilton and went on to take a 25-22 victory.
