Bearcubs Compete At Class C State Meet In Kalispell
The Frazer Bearcubs took 17th place In the team standings for the boys’ division during the Class C state cross country meet held in Kalispell on Saturday, Oct. 21.
The Bearcubs finished with 198 points. Manhattan Christian won the state title on a tie-breaker over Drummond. Both teams had 33 points.
Manhattan Christian’s Oren Arthun repeated as the individual champion with a time of 15:55.29.
Leading Frazer was Jarvis Goodbird with a 31st place finish. The sophomore had a time of 19:25.08.
Gabe Beston, a freshman, earned 66th place at 21:02.63.
Christopher Fox, a senior, took 101st place at 23:59.16.
Travis Long, a senior, ran the course in 25:52.80 for 109th place.
Cassius Smoker, a sophomore, took 111th place with a time of 25:54.32.
In the girls’ division, Roberts won a tie-breaker over Scobey for the team title. Both squads had 27 points.
Whitewater’s Shelbi LaBrie earned the individual championship at 19:52.42. Scobey’s Mya Green placed second and Scobey’s Mia Handran finished third.
Frazer’s Isabelle Even placed 66th at the meet with a time of 30:07.26.
Shakira Beston finished in 68th place at 30:17.61.
