Poplar Runners Place At Class B State Meet

Poplar’s girls earned 10th place in the team standings at the Class B state cross country meet held in Kalispell on Saturday, Oct. 21.

The Indians had 345 points. Manhattan won the state championship with 93 points. Glasgow placed second with 103 points.

Poplar’s sophomore Kacie Colgan finished in 28th place with a time of 21:15.96.

Blake Follette earned 37th place at 22:39.18.

Kelly Azure took 70th place at 23:47.62. Mattie Falls Down was 103rd at 25:32.13.

Amelia Weeks placed 107th with a time of 25:48.53.

Cammie Martell finished in 112th place at 26:07.61.

Alara Parshall was 125th at 26:36.05.

In the boys’ division, Poplar took 13th place with 384 points. Jefferson topped the standings with 79 points.

Poplar’s Elijin Grey Bear led the Indians with a time of 18:29.03 for 41st place.

Wilder Bearcub placed 53rd at 18:49.55.

Bostyn Azure took 85th with a time of 19:31.18. Geordy Medicine Cloud placed 90th at 19:41.33.

Navarjo Escarcega placed 115th at 20:17.77.

Raylando Red Eagle was 144th at 21:21.26. Dane Moran took 163rd at 22:01.63.
