Wolves Open With Win At Tournament

Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball team rolled to an 82-52 victory over Hays-Lodgepole to open their season at the Native American Classic in Browning on Friday, Dec. 1.

After gaining a 28-22 halftime advantage, the Wolves exploded for 29 points in the third quarter for a 57-36 lead.

Peyton Summers tallied eight points and Cade Stafne scored seven of Wolf Point’s points in the third quarter.

Wolf Point jumped out to a 17-13 lead in the first quarter. Leading the attack were Jack Kolstad with seven and Stafne with five points.

Top scorers in the victory were Kolstad with 17 and Summers with 16. Stafne and Zandon Calder added 12 points each.

Also scoring were Lennoxx Lilley with six, DJ Fischer with six, Sean Hamilton with six, Chief Stafne with two and Richard Campbell with two.
