Wolves Place At Eagle Invitational

Wolf Point’s wrestlers opened their season at the tough Eagle Invitational in Sidney during the weekend.

Joli Beston, a senior, earned third place at 152 pounds in the girls’ division. Beston won her last two matches on falls as she pinned Hardin’s Chelsea Morris in 16 seconds and Lockwood’s Dylan Fraker in 17 seconds.

Jeina Reum took seventh place at 107 pounds. Reum pinned Hardin’s Sailee Redding in 2:08 in the seventh-place match. In the boys’ division, Jesse Reed at 152 pounds and Michael Bell at 205 pounds each won one match. Reed’s victory came over Kaden Kraft of Minot, N.D., by a 5-4 margin. Bell defeated Gus Strommen of Beulah/Hazen, N.D., by a 6-2 margin.

Reilly Rees took eighth place at 132 pounds in the JV competition. He outpointed Poplar’s Trentin Youpee by a 7-4 final.

The Wolves will host a mixer on Thursday, Dec. 7.
