Lustre’s Girls Stop Broadus Squad
Lustre’s girls’ basketball squad moved ahead in the second quarter and defeated Broadus, 47-28, at the Scobey Invitational on Friday, Dec. 8.
The Lions trailed 7-6 at the end of the first quarter. Lustre responded with 15 points in the second period for a 21-17 lead. Grace Brown scored five points in the second quarter.
Lustre struck for 15 points in the third quarter for a 3622 advantage. Aubri Holzrichter accounted for eight points in the quarter.
The Lions went on to score 11 points in the fourth for the 19-point victory.
Top scorers for the Lions were Alexa Reddig with 15 and A. Holzrichter with 13 points. Also scoring were G. Brown with nine, Kencia Brown with six, Lauryn Holzrichter with two and Hannah Brown with two points.
