Frazer Girls Score Big Home Victory Over Nashua Squad
Frazer’s girls came out firing and defeated Nashua, 6514, during league basketball action in Frazer on Thursday, Dec. 14.
The Bearcubs accounted for the contest’s opening 10 points on five straight points by eighth-grader Maci Fourstar-Sibley, a three-pointer by Shakira Beston and a steal and layup by Fourstar-Sibley.
After Nashua’s Ashley Burns scored with 5:31 left in the quarter, another three-pointer by S. Beston and a basket off a rebound by White put the Bearcubs ahead by a 15-4 margin.
Frazer then rolled off the next 11 points on six points by Fourstar-Sibley, a hoop by Baily Beston and a three-pointer by S. Beston for a 26-4 advantage to end the first quarter.
The scoring of Fourstar-Sibley and White helped the Bearcubs gain a 39-6 advantage.
The Bearcubs struck for the final five points of the half on a basket by White and three points by Fourstar-Sibley to move ahead 44-8.
Frazer led by a 52-10 margin after three quarters of play.
Frazer’s top scorers were Fourstar-Sibley with 23 and S. Beston with 15 points. Also scoring were White with eight, B. Beston with six, Aubrey Mail with six, Katherine Round Face with five, Isabelle Fourstar with two and Kassidy Hentges with two points.
Burns led Nashua with four points. Katey Dyksra and Gracyn Sibley added three points each.
