Frazer, Brockton Split Contests
The Frazer Bearcubs and Brockton Warriors split basketball contests during non-conference action in Frazer on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Frazer’s girls opened the night with a 64-43 victory over Brockton.
After taking a 15-10 lead in the first quarter, the Bearcubs moved ahead 37-17 at the half.
Maci Fourstar-Sibley accounted for 20 of Frazer’s points. Baily Beston added 15, Isabelle Fourstar tallied 13 and Shakira Beston scored 10 points.
Rounding out Frazer’s scoring with two points each were Lola Romero, Katherine Roundface and Angeline White.
Leading Brockton were Tamryn Bauer with 21 and KayJay First That Walks with 14 points. Marlene Fish and Clara Clampitt had four points each.
Brockton’s boys downed Frazer by a 68-62 final.
The Warriors earned a 2722 half-time lead, but Frazer fought back to grab a 50-47 advantage after three quarters of play.
Brockton gained the victory by scoring 21 points in the final period.
Ronnie Black Dog finished with 26 points to lead Brockton. Josh Firemoon and Kameron Rattling Thunder added 14 points each, Also scoring were Colter Nygard with seven, CoDean Youngman with five and Weston Lambert with two points.
Frazer’s Travis Long scored 18 points. Others reaching double figures were Joseph Beston with 15, Gabriel Beston with 11 and Ty Four Fourstar with 10 points.
