Northside Students Entertain For Holidays
The students of Northside Elementary School celebrated the season with A World of Christmas musical program at the school on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
Fourth-grade students opened the program by singing A World of Christmas.
The fourth-graders went on to sing three selections from different areas. The numbers included O Christmas Tree (from Germany), Zumba, Zumba (from Spain) and Joyous Hanukah (which is a Jewish song).
Sixth-grade students were next to entertain the audience featuring family members and friends. Students started off by singing Deck the Halls (from England).
The sixth-graders performed
Pinata Song (from Mexico) and Silent Night, which was sung in Dakota Sioux.
Fifth-grade students took the stage and entertained with Sing We Now of Christmas and Pat a Pan (from France).
Fifth-grade students went on to perform the African American Spiritual Children Go Where I Send Thee
and then performed Light the Candles All Around the World.
Bridget Drummond directed the program. Helen Welte served as co-director and piano accompanist. Jacob Boysun was stage assistant.
