Froid/Lake Girls Beat Brockton

Froid/Lake downed Brockton, 50-34, during girls’ basketball play on Friday, Jan. 5.

The Red Hawks led by only a 12-11 margin at the end of the first quarter but increased the gap to 28-20 in the second period.

With the score at 33-29 after three quarters of action, the Red Hawks struck for 17 points in the final period to earn the league victory.

Leading Froid/Lake’s attack were Brooklynn Nordwick with 13 and Lilly Johnson with 12 points.

Also scoring for the Red Hawks were Mara Salvevold with six, Isabelle Nordwick with four and Leah Murray with three.

Adding two points each were Keira Stentoft, Alexa Nelson, Ally Johnson, Avery Johnson, Addison Elvsaas and Jordyn Breuer.
