Lustre Girls Lose In Scobey

Scobey had a big third quarter and defeated Lustre, 42-34, in girls’ basketball play in Scobey on Saturday, Jan. 13.

The Lions jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the first quarter, but Scobey moved ahead 17-13 in the second period.

The Spartans then accounted for 16 points in the third quarter for a 33-20 advantage.

Top scorers for Lustre were Alexa Reddig with 14 and Kencia Brown with 13 points.

Aubri Holzrichter added five points. Grace Brown had two points.

Leading Scobey were Kaytie Aanstad with 12 and Avery Wolfe with nine points.

The Lions will host Nashua on Friday, Jan. 19.
