Driver Not Determined In Fatality Crash

The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash on Dec. 23, 2023, near Fort Kipp is still under investigation.

Kendra BetsHisMedicine was pronounced dead at the scene. A 24-year-old female was also injured in the crash and transported to the Billings Clinic.

Originally, the fatality victim was listed as the driver in the Montana Highway Patrol’s report released to media. Because both individuals were outside of the vehicle when the highway patrol arrived, the determination of the driver is still under investigation.

The Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling east on BIA Route 1 and went off the road into the south ditch. The vehicle hit a field approach, causing the vehicle to become airborne. Once the vehicle landed, it rolled multiple times and came to rest on its roof.
