Brockton Loses Games Against Froid/Lake
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks enjoyed a strong first quarter and downed Brockton, 55-42, in boys’ basketball play on Friday, Feb. 2.
The Red Hawks jumped out to a 25-8 advantage in the first period. Mason Dethman scored 13 points in the opening quarter.
Froid/Lake led 31-19 at the half and 42-31 after three quarters of play.
Dethman finished with 25 points. Landon Kelm scored 13 and Nate Stentoft had 11 points. Also scoring were Joseph Robertson with four and Rylan Young with two points.
Jarid Fast Horse scored 17 points to lead Brockton. Quannah First That Walks added nine and Kameron Rattling Thunder had seven points.
Rounding out the scoring were Josh Firemoon with five, Ronnie Black Dog with four and Quincy Belgarde with two points.
Froid/Lake’s girls’ basketball squad posted a 35-18 victory.
Mara Salvevold scored 11 points for the Red Hawks. Brooklyn Nordwick and Keira Stentoft scored eight points each.
Tamryn Bauer scored nine points to lead Brockton. Also scoring were Ava Lone Bear with three, Alyanna Eder with two, Taylor Cummins with two and Claire Clampitt with two points.
