Indians Score Home Victories Over Fairview
The Poplar Indians rolled to home basketball victories over Fairview on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
In the boys’ contest, the Indians picked up a 77-49 league victory.
After gaining a 24-14 lead in the first quarter, Poplar scored 22 points in the second period for a 46-31 halftime advantage.
The Indians outscored Fairview by a 23-10 margin in the third quarter for a 69-41 lead.
Leading Poplar’s attack were Delray Lilley with 33 points and Kaniel Ricker with 25 points. Cameron Reum added 11 points. Also scoring were Walker Burshia with six and Garyn Granger with two points.
Poplar’s girls won by a 5744 final.
The Indians led 14-10 at the end of the first quarter and 32-19 at the half.
Poplar increased its advantage to 47-29 in the third quarter.
