Poplar Squads Split Games In Fairview

The Poplar Indians split conference basketball games in Fairview on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Poplar’s girls posted a 68-45 victory over the Warriors.

The Indians gained a 20-12 lead in the first quarter and held a 32-26 half-time advantage.

Poplar then ran off 22 points in the third period for a 54-35 margin.

In the boys’ contest, Fairview scored a 55-43 victory.

Poplar led by a 34-33 margin after the third quarter, but Fairview struck for 22 points in the final period for the 12-point victory.

The Indians will travel to Malta on Friday, Feb. 9, and host Wolf Point on Thursday, Feb. 8.
