Wolves Suffer Defeats In Malta
Wolf Point dropped both basketball games in Malta on Friday, Feb. 2.
The Lady Wolves fell by a 58-42 final.
Wolf Point trailed by only a 12-10 margin at the end of the first quarter, but Malta moved ahead 25-14 at the half.
The M-ettes outscored the Wolves, 21-15, in the third quarter.
Keeley Blount-Henderson led Wolf Point with 14 points. Kashlyn Speak Thunder and Ameliya Doney added five points each. Also scoring for Wolf Point were Juellz Bauer with four, Brenna Blount with three, Jari Lynn Black Eagle with three, Marley Moran with two, Kylie Rodenberg with two and Karmyn Plain Feather with two.
Leading Malta were Kelbie Nelson with 13, Elly Anderson with 12 points and Denvyr Tuss with 11 points.
Malta’s boys jumped out to a 33-17 lead in the first quarter and won by a 92-66 final.
Top scorers for the Wolves were Peyton Summers with 17 and Cade Stafne with 15 points.
Malta’s Bohdi Brenden finished with 25 points. Also reaching double figures were Treyton Wilke with 19, Mason Simonton with 15 and Dawson Hammond with 13 points.
