Lustre Boys Capture Win Over North Country

Lustre cruised to a 65-27 league victory over North Country during boys’ basketball action on Friday, Feb. 9.

The Lions jumped out to a 22-5 advantage in the first quarter and held a 36-13 halftime lead.

Top scorers for Lustre were Johnslee Pierre with 14, Byron Ewing with 11 and Prestyn Klatt with 10.

Also scoring for the Lions were Terran Joseph with eight, Cayden Klatt with six, Cam Reddig with five, Clay Reddig with three, Diek Olfert with two, Joel Reddig with two, Brian Guedes with two and Hadden Olfert with one point.

Blaine Downing scored 15 points for North Country.

In the girls’ contest, North Country posted a 61-24 victory.

The Mavericks gained a 25-4 lead in the first quarter.

Alexa Reddig and Aubri Holzrichter scored eight points each for the Lions. Kencia Brown and Grace Brown added four points each.

Leading North Country were Teagan Erickson with 16 and Paige Wasson with 14 points.
