Commissioners Approve New Hire, Pay Raise
During the Roosevelt County Commissioners’ regular meeting Tuesday, April 9, in Wolf Point, they approved Keslie Velazquez as a new hire for the Roosevelt County Library.
Detention Center Employee Curtis Red Eagle was approved for a promotional raise.
Resolution No 2024-66 was approved, replacing Resolution 2017-19, regarding tax abatement for United Grain.
Minutes were approved for the March 19 and April 2 regular meetings and a special meeting held April 3. Claims for April were approved in the amount of $70,450.06.
Following the meeting, Roosevelt County Sheriff Jason Frederick and Deputy County Attorney Thomas Bleicher were on hand to give the commissioners an update about the ongoing effort to negotiate a new interlocal law enforcement agreement. Frederick told the commissioners that the agreement is in the hands of area municipalities for consideration.
