Lustre Boys Take First At Scobey Track Meet
Lustre Christian cruised to first place in the boys’ team standings at the Scobey Invitational held in Wolf Point on Saturday, April 13.
The Lions earned first in the track meet with 106 points. Scobey took second with 73 points and New Town, N.D., was third with 72 points.
Johnslee Pierre was a triple- winner for the Lions. The sophomore captured first in the high jump at 5-8, long jump at 19-3 and triple jump at 43-7.
Terran Joseph finished first in the 100 at 11.98 seconds and first in the 200 at 24.20 seconds. The senior placed second in the 400 at 57.15 seconds.
Byron Ewing took third in the 400 at 57.82 seconds.
Lustre’s 400-meter relay team finished first at 45.96 seconds. The 1600-meter relay team placed third at 3:59.53.
Mason Hilkemann took fourth in the shot put with a mark of 38-8 and ninth in the discus at 103-0.
Placing behind Pierre in the long jump were Guedes in second place at 19-0, Joseph in third at 18-10 and Diek Olfert in fifth at 17-6.
Olfert cleared 5-2 for fourth place in the high jump. He was fourth in the triple jump at 37-6.
